Eight Medals At 2016 Ice Cream Awards
We’re New Zealand’s oldest ice cream maker and at the recent New Zealand Ice Cream Awards we picked up eight awards. It’s our 90th year making, scooping and distributing premium natural ice cream around New Zealand and internationally.
We landed a gold in the premium category for our Mānuka Honey ice cream and won another six silver medals for our Double Chocolate, Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, Passionfruit and Maple Walnut. And of course we can’t forget our newest flavour, Brown Bread, which won a silver award in the open creative section that has very strict criteria.
Eight judges spent two days eating their way through 334 entries from 37 New Zealand ice cream makers at the event’s platinum anniversary held at Auckland’s Crown Plaza Hotel. The winning flavours were announced before being made available for tasting after a three-course dinner served that night.
