Rush Munro’s is proudly owned by John and Vicki Bostock, a Hawkes Bay couple who spent their childhoods pestering their parents to take them to the Heretaunga street store for an ice cream.
It was important for John and Vicki to keep such an iconic Hawkes Bay company in New Zealand ownership and they purchased Rush Munro’s when it came up for sale in 2000. In their hands, the company grew from a Hawkes Bay secret to being widely enjoyed and available all over the country.
With real fruit used in the 100% natural ice cream, it is the priority to use locally grown produce, with all ingredients purchased from New Zealand owned companies.
The Bostock family are truly passionate about organic and natural products. John is New Zealand’s largest organic apple grower and exporter and has built up a group of companies in the sunny Hawke’s Bay region that all share a philosophy to operate in an eco-friendly and sustainable manner.
